Insiders & Decline
Understand how Insiders appear, why someone may disappear, and how decline or pass actions affect future visibility.
Who Insiders are
- Insiders are people who may be relevant to your current venue context under SameHive product rules.
- The list can change as check-ins expire, privacy controls change, or safety rules apply.
- SameHive may limit visibility when account quality, verification, or safety signals require it.
Decline and pass
- Decline or pass reduces repeated exposure without sending a public notification.
- Decline is different from block; block is stronger and limits visibility and messaging paths.
- Decline behavior can vary by venue, time window, and future product rules.
Seeing someone again
- You may see someone again if context changes, a new venue session starts, or product rules allow it.
- Use block if you do not want future visibility or contact from a specific account.
- Use report if the account or behavior appears unsafe, fake, abusive, or policy-violating.
FAQ
Does someone know I declined them?
No public notification is designed for decline/pass actions. The goal is to reduce exposure without creating unnecessary friction.
Is decline permanent?
Decline is not the same as a permanent block. Use block when you want stronger separation.
Why do Insiders change so often?
Venue presence is time-aware. People may leave, expire, change settings, be moderated, or become unavailable under privacy and safety rules.
Who counts as an Insider?
An Insider is someone SameHive may surface in your current venue context based on check-in, relevance, privacy, and safety signals.
Can I undo a decline?
If undo is available, it will appear in-app. Otherwise, decline behavior may reset only when product rules, venue context, or time windows allow it.
Why do I see fewer Insiders than expected?
The venue may be quiet, check-ins may have expired, people may be using privacy controls, or SameHive may be applying safety and quality limits.
Can Premium override a block or report?
No. Premium, credits, Launch Hive, and Hive Roam cannot bypass blocks, reports, moderation, or Community Guidelines.
What should I use if I never want contact from someone?
Use block for stronger separation. If the behavior was unsafe, abusive, fake, or policy-violating, report the account too.
