What is SameHive?
SameHive is a private venue-aware social discovery app for meeting people in the same real-world social context, with check-ins, privacy controls, chat invites, and safety tools built into the experience.
Can I see people without checking in?
Core venue discovery is built around check-ins. Some Premium or Hive Roam experiences may allow broader browsing while keeping privacy controls active.
Why does SameHive request location permission?
Location helps confirm venue context, power Buffer Zone protections, reduce spam, and keep discovery relevant to real places.
What is Buffer Zone?
Buffer Zone is a privacy layer designed to support venue-aware discovery without exposing your precise real-time position inside or around a venue.
What are Insiders?
Insiders are people who may be relevant to your current venue context under SameHive product, privacy, and safety rules.
What is Launch Hive?
Launch Hive is a paid or credit-based visibility action that can help you stand out in an eligible context. It never bypasses blocks, reports, moderation, or Community Guidelines.
What is Hive Roam?
Hive Roam is a broader browsing experience that may let eligible members explore beyond a single active venue while keeping SameHive privacy and safety controls in place.
Who can see my profile?
Visibility depends on your check-in state, privacy settings, incognito or blur controls, and any block or decline actions.
Does a declined person get notified?
No public notification is designed for decline or pass actions. The control is meant to reduce repeated exposure without creating unnecessary pressure.
What happens when I block someone?
Blocking limits visibility and messaging paths between accounts where product rules support it. If the behavior also violates policy, submit a report.
What happens when I report someone?
Reports are reviewed for policy violations. SameHive may limit visibility, remove content, suspend accounts, or request additional information.
How do chat invites work?
A chat invite is a deliberate request to start a conversation. The recipient can accept, ignore, decline, block, or report depending on the situation.
Can I delete a message for everyone?
When available, delete for everyone attempts to remove a message from all participants' chat views. Limited records may still be retained for safety, legal, fraud, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Can I connect Apple, Google, and email login methods?
When login linking is available, add methods from Settings > Account > Login methods while signed into the account you want to keep.
How do I restore Premium or credits?
Use Restore purchase in the app while signed into the same App Store or Google Play account that made the purchase.
How do refunds work?
Most App Store and Google Play purchases must be refunded through the store that processed the payment. SameHive support can help with account context but usually cannot issue store refunds directly.
How do I delete my account?
Use Settings in the app or visit the account deletion page on this site to submit a deletion request.
How do I cancel Premium?
Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel from the store account that made the purchase.
Does deleting the app cancel Premium?
No. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel Premium from the App Store or Google Play account that purchased it.
Can SameHive retain data after account deletion?
Limited records may be retained temporarily when needed for safety, fraud prevention, billing, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or abuse investigation.
What should I do in an emergency?
Contact local emergency services first. SameHive support can review platform reports, but it is not an emergency response service.
